White Wine Solagüen 2018

Solagüen Blanco is serious wine. Both the selection of old vineyards of average age of 55 years, and work with lees gives it sufficient volume and fatty touch, advancing it beyond a typical easy-to-drink light fruit white wine image. It also looks for the highest vineyards locations, between 500 and 560 meters, integrated in 80-hectare lands at the east of Labastida town, in the heart of the best Rioja area.
Made with 100% Viura grape. Having entered the winery, the grape harvest had their stems removed and was squeezed. Prior to fermentation, the grapes were macerated in cold with skins for 24 hours. The grape juice was separated by gravity and decanted, leaving it ready to ferment at 14°C for about 20 days. The low temperature allowed slower fermentation respecting practically all the primary aromas. At the end of alcoholic fermentation batonage with fine lees in the deposits and final stirring were carried out before wine clarification and bottling.
A well-balanced in acidity and volume wine, with fruity aromas and a light fresh and fruity taste on the palate.
