For almost half a century, Bodegas Solaguen have been putting their extensive knowledge and experience into making quality wines. They continue this rich tradition, while also staying on top of the latest advances in vinification. The winery, located in Labastida, incorporates the latest technology but also maintains a 15th century cellar network where wines were made in the olden days. Nestled between the Sierra Cantabria mountains and the river Ebro, the climatic conditions of the winery’s surroundings are unique in Rioja. Established in 1964 by a group of local vine growers, the cooperative has currently 152 members. They know a great wine starts with the soil and requires tending to it throughout the year, which is why they carry out exhaustive checks on each one of the parcels that make up its 540 hectares of vineyards. With such immense terrain, it is one of the largest wineries in Rioja to control their production from the vine to the bottle.
