Artero is the most prolific brand of Muñoz Vineyards and Wineries. The property is located in Noblejas municipality in La Mancha with a long tradition dating back to 1840, a date that in La Mancha can be considered prehistoric, since it is strange that in this area a firm of more than 100-year history has survived. The territory is unique, since Noblejas was the main supplier of Madrid in the last 80 years. The plain of Ocaña at 750 meters above sea level, 100 hectares of which are made up of clay-calcareous soils, gives the wines certain fineness and expression, in addition to its altitude.
The Muñoz family did not want to follow the comfortable path of the mass of the Airen grape and cheap bottling, a market that, unfortunately, has defined La Mancha wine. That is why, Bienvenido Muñoz, last member of the family saga, has given modernity to their wines thanks to his knowledge as an agronomy engineer and a Master in Winemaking and Viticulture. The family has chosen the most suitable varieties for the ecosystem, applying the differences that each variety has in its maturation, with a wise combination among early varieties such as Tempranillo, Chardonnay and Merlot with late varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
